Switzerland is one of those places you read lots of magical stories about and see beautiful photographs of. It wasn’t however somewhere I ever imagined that I would be able to visit (at least not anytime soon). Being one of the most expensive countries in Europe, it was a distant dream. That was until my partner and I decided to embark on a van life adventure last September.

I have been dreaming about travelling around Europe in our campervan for a very, very long time. At the beginning of September this year, my partner and I finally packed up the van and headed across the water. Our trip saw us travel through France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Portugal. This wild and wonderful adventure was exactly what we had been craving.

During a whirlwind Italian trip in May earlier this year, my partner, his sister and I jumped at the chance to see Florence. Although only there for just a day, we were blessed with enough time to catch a glimpse of what the charming city had to offer.

In a bid to spend our birthdays in our camper van this year, we headed to beautiful Wales where we know and love best. We wanted to be at the beach to cheers to our big days (one day apart) and so we cruised on over to the Ceredigion coast for sunshine walks and evening campfires. As luck would have it, the weather was perfect for the few days we were there

A very last minute travel decision was made last month that my partner Key and I would accompany his sister on a short trip to explore some of Italy. She was due to attend a wedding in Tuscany and kindly asked if we fancied exploring a little beforehand. The next day we were in Italy. This fast-paced start (as well as nearly missing the flight there) was to set the stage for the chaotic and hilarious whirlwind of a trip that saw us visit Genoa, La Spezia, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence and Spoleto in just four days.

It is no secret that Wales is absolutely beautiful. We have been travelling to Wales and camping out ever since we got the van and we are the biggest fans of the unspoiled lakes, forests and mountains. To top this off, Wales is so camper friendly and we always find an amazing spot to stay completely hassle-free . This weekend we found ourselves back on welsh soil exploring the gorgeous Elan Valley.

It's March right now in the UK and although this usually means we start to see daffodils grow and the sun out to say hi, this year March greeted us with snow. So much snow, that the UK pretty much stopped working for an entire weekend. I am usually a big fan of snowy weather but when March hit and I was starting to mentally prepare for spring and summer, I was a little bit disappointed. In light of this, I wanted to share a story of summers past, when the nights were long and warm and the sun was beating down. When we took our little camper down south to explore beautiful Cornwall in its prime.

When I saw the beautiful Woodman's Hut on Instagram, I knew that I had to book to stay there. My partner and I have been obsessed with cabins and tiny houses ever since we started camping out in the van and we hope to end up one day building a tiny space of our own. I knew that a few days spent in the Woodman's Hut in beautiful Scotland would be the perfect Christmas present.

To celebrate our birthdays this summer, we headed to Budapest to soak up some sun and see the sights! Usually we create an itinerary wherever we go, but this time round we just followed our feet . Budapest is completely charming and we had the best few days. There is so much to do and the city is bigger than we thought, so going with the flow was just perfect. If you are looking to visit Budapest, there is plenty to keep you busy!

This summer, I was lucky enough to be able to travel to Bulgaria with two Bulgarian friends that I had met and grown very fond of whilst studying at University. As they are both from the capital Sofia, this was the city I was most enthusiastic about visiting during the trip.
