MOLLIES MOTEL
I am always looking for luxurious overnight stays not too far from home for a mid-week escape. Enter Mollies Motel, inspired by the traditional American motel and diner experience with an added modern twist designed by the same genius minds that created Soho House. Just under an hour away from home, Mollies in Oxfordshire is the perfect place to head for a night away to enjoy that American roadside experience with the added luxury of a super cosy night’s sleep. When you walk into the lobby, you are instantly met with that insta-worthy design that Soho House is renowned for. By day it’s an ideal workspace with complimentary filter coffee and tea served. By night, glowing lamps light up cosy corner nooks, perfect for relaxing with a cocktail before retiring for the night.
THE ROOMS
You can choose from double, twin and even bunk rooms for your stay, but we always opt to stay in a double room. Furnishings are kept super simple, with a comfy king-sized bed, the softest cotton bedding, light wood and slate finishes and a luxurious rainfall shower accompanied by Cowshed products and fluffy towels. Mollies may be a Motel, but the interior feels much more luxurious and design-focused than the traditional Americana concept. Perhaps the best part of all, check-out is at 11 so you have plenty of time to sleep in and enjoy your dreamy room for longer than your average stay!
THE DINER
To truly immerse yourself in the Americana experience, head over to the diner, where they serve up all the best comfort food America has to offer. Think burgers, hotdogs, wings, waffles, pancakes, shakes and more. Inspired by the traditional concept, Mollies Diner has low-lit booths to nestle into, funky tiled flooring and a buzzy atmosphere. If you aren’t still completely full by morning, head back over for their breakfast pancakes!
I am always excited to return to Mollies as I just know that the service and stay will be excellent. A Mollies now also exists in Bristol and a new Manchester location is coming early 2023 so I can’t wait to check those locations out too!
